Robustness

Also used: robustness bound

The extent to which a specified result or level of performance survives specified changes in circumstances.

An example from the writing

For two admitted routes, a valid response-difference bound below the nominal decision margin certifies that their alarms are the same.

A common misconception

An inconclusive certificate predicts failure, or robustness to one perturbation covers every perturbation.

That inference does not follow. Read the result together with its scope below.

Scope and limits

This is a pairwise guarantee for the compared routes under the stated model assumptions. A whole-family guarantee would require a bound uniform over that declared family.
